A subject I enjoyed studying this semester

Hello! I hope everybody is fine!
Today I will be talking about my favorite subject this semester.

Well, in my semester so far my favourite subject is the Seminar of investigation and musical analysis, a very complex class in my major, but very interesting and funy for me.

In this subject, we discuss around of the multiples musical cases  that ours teachers provide us, where we explore with the diferent forms and methods of analysis. Apart of this, the teachers (or guides in this case) motivate us to the musical investigation, proposing us that we find new musical cases in ours musical experiences (like all we have diferent musical taste, this excercise is very entertaining).
In the first month of classes the teachers teached us all the methods of musical analysis on a broad scale, for put into practice later in the cases in the class discussions. Later, we started to study the "canon", a very special concept that it's expressed in the music, it consist in the preservation of compositions, musical styles, musical players or creators (composers) that they are consider as "models" and that they remain in the time.

I like this seminar for three reasons: the first one is because it's help me to improve my habilities in the musical analysis (for the musical players this is a very important tool); the second one is because it's help me to understand better the functioning of the diferents musical styles (apart from the that I practice), at the level that I have give them today a new level of valorization to musical styles that I didn't liked (I had finish analyzing freestyle battles in the classes... with musicological criterias lol); and the third one is beacuse it's help me to define my musical ideas, this is vital for me, because since the last year , thaks to my tour to China and to other subject of the university (a general formation course about racism), I realized the raw reality of being an artist in a marginal culture that it preserve not his music and others many inmaterial things (we can not deny that the art in general is eurocentric) and that also we learn iherited practices of the most advanced cultures (according to this same cultures).

Me as artist, I want to do something about it, and this subject suport me to generate more solids arguments for my crazy ideas.
